Explore Estonian as a language for the arts and a vehicle for culture, through a variety of workshops, talks, and panels on Estonian poetry, strategies for language learning and opportunities in the diaspora, as well as hands-on activities for all ages - and more to be announced!

Explore language as a vehicle for culture, creativity, and storytelling through a series of short lively talks. Topics include strategies for language learning in the diaspora, diaspora stories, the role of language and identity in cultural resilience, dance as language, and art as expression for Ukrainians in Estonia today. Estonian poets join us in video greetings. With Estonian Cultural Attache Madli-Liis Parts, Estonian School Network Abroad (Estonian Language Institute) Coordinator Merike Barborak, international cooperation and communications professional Kalmar Kurs (Study in Estonia), journalist Lisa Trei, dance critic and language teacher Heili Einasto, professor of linguistics Kelsey Kraus, and librarian Parker Watt (Baltic Collections at Stanford’s Green Library). Kairi Leivo emcees the session and concludes with a special presentation. In English and Estonian.
